Congratulations to our recent married couples!

Nicholas Diamond and Jade Bertoli-Jones were married on Saturday 16th of May 2009, at St George's Greek Orthodox Church. Their reception followed at the Greek Club.

Tom Walsh and Kemorine Parkes were married on Saturday 6th June 2009, at St Stephen's Cathedral. Their reception was held at Brisbane City Hall.

John James and Fiona Solomon were married on Saturday 27th June 2009, at St Augustine's Anglican Church. Their reception followed at Downtown Rugby Club.

Piotr Kruk and Roseanne Shepherd were married on Sunday 28th June 2009. Their wedding ceremony and reception were held at South Molle Island at the Whitsundays.

Arvin Atmadja and Felicia Setiadi were married on Saturday 18th July 2009, at Gereja Kristus Brisbane. Their reception followed at Snug Harbour.

Travis White & Melanie Nicholls were married on Saturday 1st August, at Bellbowrie Community Church. Their reception was held at the Brisbane Polo Club.

Michael Wagner and Tammy White were married on Saturday 29th August 2009, at Tamborine Gardens. Their reception followed in the Starlight Room also at Tamborine Gardens.

Sterling Studios win 11 awards at National judging

It's been a big year so far for the team at Sterling Studios, at both the 2009 AIPP (Australian Institute of Professional Photography) Queensland Awards and the Australian Professional Photography Awards (APPAs) which were held over the weekend in Sydney.

A BIG congratulations to Glen for winning runner up 2009 Self-Commissioned Photographer of the Year. Here are his award winning images:

Chris and I both received our first honours, gaining our Associateships within the Australian Institute of Professional Photography, on Monday night at the awards dinner at Doltone House in Sydney. (I will post photos as soon as I have them)

Sandy & Mark's Wedding

Sonia & I shared a great day with an awesome couple (Mark & Sandy) during April. Mark & Sandy were just so easy to photograph, they even brought their own props along!!  Such a beautiful job with the styling of the wedding and so many unique details.  Did I mention this was all planned from their home in London?!? Casey Burroughs and Andrew Hamilton were married on Sunday 3rd May, 2009. The ceremony and reception were held at Virginia Palms International.

Todd D'Arcy and Shelley-Ann Everton were married on Saturday 31st of January at Kenmore Baptist Church. The reception followed at Victoria Park Function Complex.

Kurt Osborne and Emma Gentle were married on Saturday 31st of January, 2009. The ceremony and reception were held at Sirromet Winery, Mt Cotton.

Nigel Burnet and Melanie Elcock were married on Saturday the 24th of January 2009, at St Mary's Anglican Church, Kangaroo Point. Their reception followed at Augustine's on George Street, Brisbane.

Congratulations - Sonia wins 2009 QLD Wedding Photographer of the Year ... plus more!

I am very excited to share that at the Australian Professional Photography Awards (AIPP) QLD dinner last night, my gorgeous wife Sonia won '2009 Wedding Photographer of the Year'!  I must say she was a bit of a stage hog, also collecting the 'Highest Scoring Print Award' having earned the only Gold with Distinction out of all the prints entered.  But wait there's more.... Sonia also won the 'Open category' for having the highest scoring portfolio across all categories.  Needless to say we are all very proud of what she has achieved in such a short career so far, I can't wait to see what the next 10 years hold for her.  I couldn't let her have all the glory though, I managed to pick up '2009 Wedding Photographer of the Year - Runner Up'! Of course with the national awards coming up in the next couple of months (APPA's) we can't post the winning images.....just yet.  Some of the images from the night are below.
