WPPI - Wedding & Portrait Photographers International

After the excitement of our winning entries in APPA (Australian Professional Photography Awards) this year, Chris and I entered some wedding prints into the WPPI 8x10 1st Half Print Competition to see how they would go up against entries from all over the world.
We are excited to say, we are thrilled with the results and couldn't be happier for a couple that had never entered any award competitions before this year. Click below for all the details.

Trevor & Rebecca's Wedding, Sat 5th July 2008

Saturday the 5th of July .... it rained, and rained ... and rained some more!
However, the weather didn't seem to worry Trevor and Rebecca, who were both busy getting ready for their wedding at the Conrad Hotel. They were both so relaxed and calm.
Trevor and Rebecca were married at the historic St Mary's Anglican Church at Kangaroo Point. The guests happily mingled and celebrated under the cover of a verandah after the ceremony. Due to the rain, our photo locations were restricted, so we headed back to the Conrad Treasury Hotel where the reception was being held. Thankfully when we arrived the rain had stopped and allowed us enough time to shoot around the stunning surrounding buildings before sunset.

I had a fantastic time, thank you Trevor and Rebecca for being a pleasure to photograph. I can't wait to show you your gorgeous wedding images at your album plan. Here's a little preview below.

My husband Chris was also photographing a wedding on this day. His photos are coming soon.

Phillip & Natalie's Wedding, Sat 5th July 2008

Saturday 5th July .... it rained and rained.... and it was great!

Natalia and Phillip sure proved to me that less than ideal weather can't put a damper on a great wedding. We had the best time with them all day and it was a HUGE celebration with over 250 guests.  Natalia and Phillip were married in one of my favourite churches, the Cathedral of St Stephen, which concluded with all of the guests dancing outside the church in the rain for nearly half an hour!  As it was so wet, we decided against all of the outdoor locations for the photography and took shelter in some nearby buildings.  I know this is quite a late post, but it was a very memorable wedding for me that I just had to share.

Thanks for the great day guys,

Chris.

Shane & Jillian's Wedding, Sat 28th June 2008

Shane and Jillian were blessed with beautiful weather for their wedding on Saturday 28th June. Shane and the boys were very relaxed in the morning. The girls however, had been very busy with hair and makeup commitments getting ready at The Stamford Plaza.

After a small delay due to roadworks, all the guests and the bride had arrived for the ceremony at Nudgee College. Post ceremony we made a quick dash back to the city for a couple of quick shots before the reception in the Grand Ballroom at The Stamford

Shane and Jillian had arranged a slideshow to entertain their guests, so after the photo shoot we headed straight back to the studio to madly download the photos from the day. We made it back to The Stamford in time to catch the end of the speeches and a room full of laughter, they were all having such a great time.

This pair were so easy to photograph, their wedding was so elegant. We can't wait to catch up with the newlywed's when they arrive home from the Maldives to design their album, but in the meantime enjoy the sunshine!

Robert & Jennifer's Wedding, Sat 28th June 2008

Robert and Jennifer were married on Saturday 28th June at St Mary's Kangaroo Point. After the ceremony the guests celebrated with the happy couple with drinks and nibbles on the lawn over looking the river and city. It was a beautiful afternoon and I had so much fun with their bridal party on the location shoot. We headed to the rotunda at Kangaroo Point then into the city to the Marriott, where their reception was being held.

Thank you Rob and Jen for being so trusting and enthusiastic, your photos say it all!
