Matthew & Rikki-Lee's Wedding - 30th April 2011

Matthew and Rikki-lee were married on Saturday 30th April, with the ceremony and reception both being held at the Hyatt Sanctuary Cove. When we arrived at Matt and Rikki-lee's wedding in the morning at Sanctuary cove, we had been there only ten minutes and it felt like we were on holiday! It would have been an amazing experience for the guests. This day was a bit of a first for me, over the several years I have photographed countless weddings in the Hyatt Chapel and they all had one thing in common....rain. However, this day it did not! In the dry the Hyatt took on a completely different look, so different it was like I hadn't been there before (which is really inspiring for us to see it with new eyes!)

The girls looked amazing with all of the dresses/colours/floristry coming together perfectly. These guys were up for anything, so even our wildest ideas were possible!

Sanctuary cove looked incredible for the reception, such a beautiful setting for Rikki-lee and Matts first dinner together as husband and wife. We made an awesome custom made box for the pair of albums, the perfect way to showcase some really beautiful images.

Karl & Meeghan's Wedding - 24th April 2011

Karl and Meeghan were married on Sunday 24th April at Our Lady of Victories, Bowen Hills, followed by a reception at Fix Restaurant - Port Office Hotel in the city. Karl and Meeghan both stayed in the same hotel the night prior to their wedding, only the boys were directly one floor beneath the girls! It made a really interesting dynamic on the day, a bit like having two completely different stories being played out simultaneously literally three metres apart. Karl wrote Meeghan a lovely little note on a chalkboard to her surprise as she was arriving for the ceremony which happened to be when the party started for these two! We had a great afternoon in a cool bar that had chairs on the ceiling? and an awesome time with great food and partying at the port office afterward.

David & Tara's Wedding - 16th April 2011

David and Tara were married on Saturday 16th April at the Holy Spirit Church, New Farm, followed by a reception at the Emporium Hotel. We were so lucky to share such a beautiful Autumn's day with David and Tara. Everything came together perfectly on the day and would have been a real treat for the guests! The girls were looking amazing, Tara especially in a Darb Bridal Couture gown which I'm told fit like no other dress around. The girls got ready in the very stylish rooms of the Emporium which is always a pleasure to photograph. After the ceremony the Bridal party came with us to GoMA to get in a couple of sneaky photographs before heading back to the Emporium for dinner. It was the first time that I had ever seen the Emporium set up for a reception and we were blown away! No doubt you guys had a great honeymoon in the Maldives, an awesome reward for putting together a great wedding!
